My American (way of) Life

Through the saga of Jeff Stryker and his family, this film, written in the first person traces fifty years of the American model’s history, from the late 30’s to the late 80’s, from the affirmation if its values and way of life up to their challenge and their questioning by the counterculture.
Made after private archives from home movies and news images, this « fictional documentary» with an insighful an thoughful autiobiographical perspective, combines History and the more intimate history of an avarage middle-class american family.
At a time when the model of the 50’s appears to some as a golden age and the best of all worlds, this film sheds a new light on the american society and through it on our own modernity.
